Beautiful ambiance. Nice service. Food was excellent. Enjoyed the sushi and teriyaki. Only disappoint was fried ice cream.

Great sushi spot in central jersey, modern yet cozy vibe. They have a separate bar area to the side. Our server was engaging and pleasant. Service was good- our food came in a timely manner, our teas were topped off without asking. We got the tuna ryujin which was composed of spicy tuna, different kinds of tuna nigiri and sashimi including toro. Their fish was high quality and the rolls came with just amount of rice-- one layer and not a rice roll LOL California roll was good and the ikura was well marinated. We had the wagyu beef gyoza special app which was really flavorful even without the dipping sauce. Miso soup was white miso and was flavorful, not bland. Clean restrooms, clean interior, parking lot in a strip mall. Will come back!

It's the best sushi in the area, hands down, by a mile. Quality is always on point. Everything is super fresh. I truly hate getting sushi from literally anywhere else.

Ryujin Sushi is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with an elegant and aesthetically pleasing ambiance that immediately sets a calm and inviting mood. It's the perfect place to unwind, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it ideal for a relaxing dining experience. My friend and I visited right after work to celebrate her birthday, and we couldn't have chosen a better spot. As soon as we entered, the hostess warmly guided us to our table, and our attentive waiter promptly brought us water with lemon. We started with miso soup and vegetable spring rolls;both were flavorful and well-prepared. The miso soup had that comforting umami richness, while the spring rolls were delightfully crispy and packed with fresh vegetables. For the main course, my friend ordered the Butterfly Effect. A beautifully crafted roll featuring steamed lobster, mango, avocado, soy bean paper, and a tangy kimchi vinegar sauce. I opted for a mix of classics and specialties: the California Roll, Spicy Scallop, and the standout Big Boss,a mouthwatering combination of rock shrimp tempura topped with spicy Kani tartare and a creamy lemon dressing. Every bite was fresh, balanced, and utterly divine. To top off our meal, we indulged in the Chocolate Lava Cake served with vanilla ice cream. The cake was rich and decadent, oozing warm chocolate goodness with every spoonful, while the ice cream provided the perfect creamy contrast. Overall, Ryujin Sushi delivers an exceptional dining experience with top-tier service, fresh and flavorful dishes, and a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just craving incredible sushi, I highly recommend this place!

For the first time I picked up from Ryujin, I ordered the spicy miso ramen with tonkatsu broth, and the flavor and depth of the broth was delicious! It was just the right level of spicy for me, and had a good amount of noodles. I also liked the toppings of egg and bok choy; my only preference is that I could customize or add toppings, but I still would order it again! The second time I ordered a seaweed salad, Bridgewater roll, Double Trouble roll (no jalapeño), and nigiri. I didn't like the seaweed salad, the mango didn't compliment the seaweed salad and it was extra liquidy than typical of seaweed salads on the bottom. All of the nigiri pieces were so fresh and I really enjoyed the Bridgewater roll. It was my first time trying seared toro (on the double trouble roll), and I didn't prefer the flavor though my husband enjoyed it. I'd be interested in trying their omakase in-person for a future date night since it's close by.

My party of 2 visited on a Tuesday around 7pm and were seated promptly. There are tables available in the dining room as well as some seats at the sushi bar. We ordered the Ryujin Salmon, which came with salmon sashimi, nigiri, and a spicy salmon roll and two specialty rolls - Hanky Panky and Double Trouble to share. All the fish tasted fresh and the portions were reasonable for the price. They brought out a complementary dessert for my birthday which was a nice, surprising touch.

This was a great sushi restaurant that felt like we were in Japan. The food was delicious! There were many delicious options to choose from, so we decided to get some that we liked now. Then, come back next time for other sushi rolls! Service was excellent and the restaurant was extremely clean! We started with tuna tartare and spicy seafood soup. I loved the spicy seafood soup! You must try the soup! The tuna tartare was okay. It had a lot of expensive ingredients but the taste was okay. We loved all the rolls we ordered. They all was equally delicious and unique in flavor! The place was a pricey so I gave it 4 stars.

Okay, I needed to update my review to a 5-star because this is hands down the best sushi spot in the area and we've been coming here a LOT more recently. Current faves: - Spicy scallop roll - Hangy Panky (crunch spicy tuna avocado inside, seared bluefin tuna, Japanese mayo, yuzu miso) - Double Trouble (crunch spicy tuna top with seared toro, jalapeno on top) - Bite Me (spicy crabmeat & scallop inside top with torched Albacore & salmon, crispy rice peal, spicy creamy) We recently ordered an Escape Platter (includes 12 pieces of assorted nigiri and a choice of 6 select special rolls) for my husband's birthday and everything was absolutely delicious and so fresh. Order any catering platters one day ahead of time so that they can prepare accordingly!
